Transfer Student Association

End of Navigation

The Transfer Student Association (TSA) is an organization dedicated to helping transfer students acclimate to UCSB. Transfer students are students that have taken college coursework at other institutions, such as junior colleges or other four-year universities, and have transferred to UCSB in order to complete their degrees. The transition to a new university can be daunting: transfer students have the same responsibilities as juniors and seniors when it is essentially their first year at UCSB. TSA accommodates transfers with presentations of on-campus resources, such as Educational Abroad Program (EAP) and the Career Services. One of our most successful programs is the Transfer Mentorship Program that pairs new transfers with veteran transfers of the same major. As a support group, TSA hosts a wide array of social activities that are meant to promote a sense of cohesion and mutual encouragement. So come join TSA and help make the transfer experience at UCSB a more academically fulfilling and memorable one.
