Lambda Pi Eta
End of Navigation
Lambda Pi Eta is the prestigious honor society for upper-division students in the Communication major, and it is recognized in connection with the National Communication Association (NCA). The national Honor Society was founded in 1985 and has been active at UCSB since 2003. The society recognizes, fosters, and rewards outstanding achievement and stimulates interest in the field of communication. In addition, it promotes and encourages professional development, provides a forum to discuss and exchange ideas, explores options for graduate education and career possibilities, and aims to establish and maintain closer relationships among faculty and students. At UCSB, Lambda Pi Eta provides a great networking opportunity for its members with meetings that showcase faculty and other professionals as guest speakers. In addition, meetings also provide educational panels and workshops to prepare members in their application to graduate universities and/or various careers.
