Campus Democrats

End of Navigation

The Campus Democrats at UCSB are the official local chapter of the Democratic Party for UCSB students. To that end the purpose of the organization is to be a place where UCSB students can come together to advance liberal, progressive or Democratic policies and spread our vision. Our members participate in all election activities including student outreach and voter registration. We walk door to door in Isla Vista and campus to educate students on the candidates and propositions that appear on each election ballot. In addition to election activities we also cooperate with allied or friendly organizations on campus for the purpose of improving our community, state and country. We hold weekly meetings which are frequented by large attendance and many local government office holders such as members of congress or city council, hold social events such as parties or BBQs, travel annually to the Democratic Party's State Convention and coordinate with Democratic student organizations from around the state.
